The Suburbs
are for Suckers

The Ask (to myself):

What began as an inside joke grew into a brand. I needed a brand identity, source products, design a website, and create content. I built every part of this brand from the ground up.

This brand is a playful space where I get to be snarky and experiment with typography. Imagined, designed, and hustled by me.

  • In 2023, I had these products made for me and my husband. We kept getting stopped in the street—asking where we got them. There was my proof of concept.

So, I registered a trademark and a brand was born. Because when you identify a demand in the market, you gotta go for it!

  • I imagined the brand from scratch, including tone, tagline, and positioning.

Designed the logo and full visual identity.

Developed a voice that’s equal parts snarky and charming.

  • I sourced sustainable print-on-demand partners and manage production logistics.

  • I built a Shopify website, wrote all product descriptions and brand copy, and integrated email signups, blog posts, and shop functionality.

  • I designed email templates and built automations for welcome and post-purchase flows. I write and launch campaigns for promos and product drops.

  • I shoot and edit all product and lifestyle photos, style sets to reflect the brand’s humor and vibe, and prep assets for web, social, and email use.

  • I manage and design Instagram and Pinterest content—balancing wit with warmth to connect with both city and suburban audiences.

  • I run fulfillment and packaging. Hustle sales at local market shows and retailers. And you might see my stickers strategically placed around the city, surrounding suburban communities, and maybe even other states!
