Freelance • Creative Direction • Design • Party Invitation

It was just a party invite. But I wanted it to feel like a nostalgic keepsake.

The Ask [to myself]:

Build an invite that feels like dropping the needle on a favorite record. Warm, familiar, and full of good company.

Retouching

I took one clean shot from the shoot and turned it into a full environment.

Process

A Save the Date, Transformed

Start with an iPhone pic

This is an iPhone pic taken after the shoot. I was in my civilian clothes but still in hair and makeup and found myself against a pretty cool background, so let’s start here!

Finish with style and personality

A little saturation, contrast, texture, and graphic elements make the image feel retro, yet modern. Eye-catching images get clicks and I got all the RSVPs I was looking for.

The Outcome

Details of the party were received with a smile. And I had quite a turnout in attendance.
