Kinfok’s BarBQ

This popular local restaurant was taking a new step and bottling up their infamous barbecue sauce. I came in to help them design a label for the sauce ended up delivering a full brand kit, barbecue sauce label, and new website design.

  • To get this project started from 1200 miles away, the client provided me with:

    1. a photo of the front of the restaurant

    2. a photo of what to put on the barbecue sauce label

    3. a screenshot of bottle from the manufacturer

  • The business is 40 years old but they didn’t have any assets to pull from. I used the picture they provided and recreated the logo.

  • After digitizing the logo and creating assets for the brand, the client decided it would be a good idea to use the brand identity I created and give their website a makeover.

From Sauce Label to Full Brand System

Round One

  • 1.

    Using a simple two-color palette, we play up the retro vibes.

    A clear label showcases the sauce as the hero. Important info pulls through with creamy white.

    Let’s stand out on the shelf by using the bright red from the color palette.

    Take it up a notch with more dimension and accents to the logo.

    Highlight brand yellow, keeping branding simple. Retro, yet modern.
